The Leschetizky Association was founded in 1942 as an association of pianists who studied with Theodor Leschetizky or in his studio with one of his teaching assistants. Today, while many members trace their teaching directly to Leschetizky, the association welcomes all pianists and supporters of the association's aims to promote excellence in the performance and teaching of the piano, and to honor the ideals and inspiration of Theodor Leschetizky.
