ALERT! SCHEDULE CHANGE! Doors open at 9:30.

The annual Gifted Young People’s Concerts will be hosted by Klavierhaus, located at 790 11th Avenue, NYC. These concerts are adjudicated, and students chosen by the judges will be invited to perform the following Sunday at Tenri Cultural Institute in the Awards Concert.

Teachers who are LA members in good standing may submit three students, with no more than two in one age group. Preteens may play up to 5 minutes total, Early Teens (ages 13-15) up to 8 minutes, and Late Teens (16-18) up to 10 minutes.  Students should play from memory and be properly dressed for a concert (no jeans or sneakers, for instance).  Please refer to the Youth Concerts Guidelines for more information about this and other Youth Concerts.

Start times for each age group are as follows:
Preteens – 10:00 (warm-up starting 9:30)
Early Teens – 11:30 (warm-up starting 11:00)
Late Teens – 1:30 (warm-up starting 1:00)
Please note that these times may be adjusted slightly again prior to the concerts, due to numbers enrolled in each program. You will be informed of any changes.
